I know this is an old boiler and I am having difficulty in finding someone who is prepared to even look at it. The system works fine for the Hot water, but the heating has stopped working. The pump is running (taken end off the pump and can feel the impeller turning) but the main burner will not ignite for heating. The main burner fires up perfectly for the Hot Water.
I need to identify the faulty component to get someone to come and change it. So far no-one knows the boiler!
Any thoughts?

Don't have a manual handy though I know I have one somewhere.

Would check:
Thermostat on CH
Thermostat on hw store
Switch contacts on hw flow switch
Call for heat electrical connection - unless you're saying the pump comes on for CH.

Don't know if all the bits are available, but I know i have some, eg the pcb.

Thanks for the ideas.

Thermostat on CH - Turning up the stat calls for heat, and the pump runs, but the boiler does not ignite.

Thermostat on hw store - Does this affect the CH?

Switch contacts on hw flow switch - Does this affect the CH?
Call for heat electrical connection - unless you're saying the pump comes on for CH. - Pump definitely runs (taken off screw at end and felt it running)

Any more comments?
Thanks again Tony

Some of these had standard honeywell divertor valve(not mid position) some had sunvic valves... It may just be the motor gone and it is not opening to heating circuit . If it is honeywell (silvercolour) just pull the manual lever over as temp measure
