I have no idea what this is. I found it in my garden one night. It is very heavy. I thought DIYnoters might know what it is (not the teacup!):

How would that work? I'm not convinced personally. But nice suggestion. I thought it might be a lamp-post key or something.
Ha. I was seriously concerned that's what it was. I got the missus to move it first. I don't think it's a pipe bomb. I was thinking skateboard component, but it's really heavy...

If it's a lock I can't see how it works. There's nothing on the other end. The lock end feels like it might unscrew or something, but without a key it's not budging....
We're reasonably near the airport. If it did fall from a plane I think it would have caused a lot more damage. It's very heavy...
