Hello all,

My Mum in law is looking to buy a flat which has an Ideal boiler dating from 2004 which is when the properties were built.

Picture is attached. Can anyone identify the type of boiler for me please? Thanks in advance.

It was apparently serviced last in 2021, but from the sticky tape top left of the boiler casing I'm a little sceptical of that...

Cheers

Thanks both. I guess we might need to budget for a swap sooner than later then

Appreciate the assistance

Kind Regards,

Not the worst boiler around at that time, they were OK but is well aged now so probably better to replace

Yes, an Ideal Mini.

Made by Biasi who sold it as an M90

The front cover has built in clips which slot into the sides. Some people do not properly align or bend them. Of little importance as they are only a cosmetic cover.

I still maintain and repair several. If well installed quite a reasonable boiler.

But they are not condensing so a condensing replacement would save about 20% of the gas input.

But no financial benefit to replace it while it is still working fine.

explain how you think it would save 20% gas surely you know how long boilers actually condense for and the mini was already approx. 78% efficient
