Hey
I would like to know what alarm I have in my house
the box in the utility room is large and black with white lines across it and a blue lcd screen
and has 9500 written on it, next to the front door there is a smaller keypad which is has a white surround with a grey bit around the numbers and screenthe numbers are yellow and flush with the rest of the pad it has a small bulb above the screen aswell and I believe it was installed around 1991 the sensors are yellow they where white with a large lense and a smaller one underneath and have a red light across the top the alarm seems to be working fine sets and unsets and makes lots of noise when I set it off and seems a quality item. Now onto the other one on my garage and outbuilding there is another alarm which is cream and brown and has 9200 written on it I believe that these are from the same manufacturer as the sounds are very similar this has leds instead of a screen and has power on and if it's not set day aswell and this also seems fine. Any helps in finding out what make they are would be much appreciated, I installed a manvier tsd401 in my old house so I know a bit about wiring.
thanks
steven

Scantronic - part of Cooper Security these days. Very old with 'limited functionality'! Definately candidates for an upgrade.

Photographs of the detectors would help... possibly a 330 or similar.

'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'.

There are better systems out there with so many facilities (that you'll never use), so as I said "If.................it"

I'm back
I found the manual for it and it is a scantronic 9500 multiplexed electronic intruder alarm system and it seems to be very complicated there is also white boxes around the house that are connected to it this is the one I was talking about
this is a newer one I think altogether though I am happy with it

Just another quick question what ar the white boxes that have 9505 written on them? As I have 3 and I know that they are part of the alarm its still working excellent and has a new battey .
thanks in advance :D

Thank you
thats very helpful as you can probably tell I am finding this very interesting and fascinating its just amazing how alarms work
like I said thanks (again)
