Hi

Silly question I know but...............

I've got a Ford Focus 5 door 1753cc hatchback. It's a diesel turbo if that helps! The date of registration was June 2002.

It has just failed the MOT on a broken driver's side headlamp adjuster. I've been told it will cost about £117 to buy another one. So I'm looking for one on ebay or in a scrappy.

However, the thing that I can't sort out is what 'Mark' is it. I've searched the web (obviously in the wrong places) because I can't find anywhere that will tell me.

Can anyone sort this out for me?

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Paul Eamonn

The first generation Focus was made between 1998 and 2004 so that makes yours a Mk 1. There was a facelift in 2001 but the Mk 2 proper came out in 2005.

No problem. One more thing. You might find that people refer to the post facelift (2001) model as a Mk 1.5. I'm not sure how it works with Fords. For example. it is quite common for the facelifted VW Passat B5 to be called the B5.5 so might be similar.
