Woild anybody be able to help identify what kind of insulation is in the photo? Is it rockwool or similar or asbestos?

Thanks.

DannyRaise, good evening.

Looks like Rockwool from the distance the image has been taken at?

As an aside, is that supposed to be a loft hatch??

If so then there should be a "notice" fixed to a nearby rafter that states what type of insulation has been installed?

Thank you for your replies, really value your feedback. It is a loft hatch so that is helpful.

Thanks for your time, folks.

I doubt that asbestos was ever used as domestic loft insulation? It was used as a pipe lagging cement type mixture in industrial buildings.
Of course, anything is possible

@DannyRaise

What sort of site is it? School, office, shop, or domestic?

If non-domestic, have you consulted any asbestos register held for the property?
