Yes, personally and business-wise.

British Gas, after posting ridiculous profits for a previously public-owned utility company AND recently increasing their prices, have just sent letters to their suppliers asking us to LOWER our prices. F*ckwits!
 
Can't see what their point is.
They want a daily standing charge, and a price per unit for energy used.

Isn't this how gas and electricity is priced already, and has been for decades?

Yes and no. The standard tariff still exists, but most suppliers have worked out all sorts of clever marketing plots that suggest all sorts of discounts but are as valid as Halstead's 10 year warranty.

The point of the petition is to make it illegal to advertise purposely confusing tariffs that have no other reason than to mislead the consumer into believing they are getting a better deal.
Not dissimilar to the popular payment protection insurance that banks and credit card companies sold to people whilst they bloody well knew that the small print prohibited most of the clients from ever being able to claim anything.
