Ikea Hinge compatibility

Quick query: My Dtr & SIL bought an Ikea wardrobe - but did not realise the hinges are not included!! To avoid a long trip, does anyone know if Screwfix etc hinges are compatible - or is it another Ikea special size issue?

Not something I’m aware of. Having bought and put together plenty of Ikea furniture, have to say it’s a first for me if hinges aren’t there. Have they purchased separate doors?

It was there mistake - the hinges ARE sold separately. Or at least there is an option to buy without. They coded everything before they left this morning or they may have noticed otherwise.

Amazon sell pax hinges,if you have prime you can get same/next day delivery, search for komplement hinges.

You might be better off buying the Ikea hinges.

IIRC there are only two commonly used cup/hole sizes (the big round hole in the door) but the part of the hinge that screws in to the frame/flank (the cruciform) can vary from one brand to another. Given that the holes in the flanks are pre-drilled by Ikea you won't need to worry about re-drilling to accommodate new hinges.
