imersion heater not working ?

before each shower or bath i have to manualy turn on the emersion heater. hot water is fine if am just using it to wash dishes etc. is this normal ? i dont think it is so am asking if there is any plumbers who know what the problem is ?

i work away alot so havent got round to orginsing a plumber to call round to look at it. just thought i would ask on here for my own peice of mind to see if this is a real plumbing problem before calling out a plumber.

you say hot water is fine if washing the dishes.
so immersion must be working.

whats wrong with it when you use it for a shower ?

the hot water is only luke warm when using the shower/bath

what shower is it?
is it seperate to the bath taps ?
is the basin tap hot ?
