hi folks,

I need to do the following at my grandparents house:

- replace current on/off switch for immersion heater with a time switch
- replace old fabric cable from switch to heater with new heat resistant cable

my questions are:

1. should I fit a FCU before the time switch?
2. is any of this work notifiable under part p?

Depends what breaker it is connected to at the board, if 16A then no need, but retain the isolator

I'd go with no, from the list of non-notifiable work:
(i) replacing control devices that utilise existing fixed
control wiring or pneumatic pipes;

(b) replacing a damaged cable for a single circuit only;
