hi guys immersion has started tripping rcd all of a sudden!feed to immersion switch is ok,have disconnected the element now and no tripping occurs,i know it might sound stupid to ask but would rather a second oppinion on this
cheers

need a new element then..
you've already traced the problem..

it's possibly cracked a bit and getting damp..

thanks for your reply mate,ya know yourself id rather get a second oppinion on these things before forkin out on a new element
thanks again!

A plumber is needed to do this. Or you can do it yourself.

It is unlikely to be the thermostat.
If he is replacing the element he will need to drain the system and remove the element assembly.

The new element assembly should include a new thermostat that has a safety trip feature (mandatory regulation).
