need to change immersion heater top entry once i have shut off the cold feed to cylinder how much water do i need to drain there is no drain valve so how do i drain the water away help appreciated

run the hot taps till it stops and put some old towels down

wont be much water

Till water levvel is below the flange

Could be a calorifier, and not a cylinder.

Or a diyer who forgot the drainc0ck
