Immerssion heater when i need Hot water !!!

when we need any hot water in the house we need to turn the immersion heater on an hour before which sends the electric bills through the roof.

why isnt the boiler down stairs heating the hot water cylinder upstairs ?
this has always been the case since we moved in the house some 2 years ago

Boiler make/model.

Any motorized valves and what type.

Is it fully pumped or gravity hot water,

Open vented or sealed system

How many tanks in the loft.

Is the heating system even connected to the HW cylinder.

How many pipes can you see connecting to the HW cylinder ?
