I have a new floor standing lamp and wish to replace the on/of in line switch with a dimmer I already have. It is a JN floor-dimmer with an led pilot lamp.
I am puzzled by the connections:
It has 6 connections: 2 are clearly earth (for from and to appliance), but then I have 4 connections left and can't make the light work. The connections are marked: An "in" arrow for 240VAC, an out arrow joined to this one, then an "in" connector marked with a wavy line and an arrow through it (I assume this indicates the dimmer) and connected to this is another "out" arrow connector. The switch also has a fuse. I've tried to get the manufacturer JN (Jing Neng) in China to send me a wiring diagram, without success. It's a JN 2301 dimmer if that helps?
Thanks a lot for any help.
