Hi - home electrical novice here.
I'm looking to replace a single switch which operates 3 lights simultaneously with a single dimmer switch.
The current wiring arrangement has two black wires capped off with electrical blocks and two red wires connected to either terminal of the switch.
There is an earth wire that is not connected (presumably redundant in a plastic switch(?).
The dimmer switch i've purchased has 'L1' , 'L2' and a wavy line with an arrow through it.
Do i connect one red to L1 and one to the arrow/ wavy line (and connect the earth as i've bought a brass dimmer)?
Thanks,
Steve
