Having just escaped a headlock, I am to start refurbishing a bathroom which will include a replacement thermostatic shower.
I have an open vented system, tanks in the loft.
I've about 6ft from bottom of the tank to the top of the shower rose, and 'er indoors likes the look of a Mira Silver, EV. In theory, that should be fine at 0.2 bar. The feed pipes are 22mm right to the shower mixer.
The water mains supplying my place are aged somewhat and therefore a certain amount of debris we are used to, and can put up with.
So - do I fit a couple of in line 'Y' filters before the shower, or will the shower filters do the same job? Will the other filters restrict the water flow too much?
Any comments most welcome, and have a good evening everyone.
John :)

If the purpose of a filter is to remove any debris contamination, then it is important to have access to the filter.

Shower valves usually have in line filters on the connections, which should ideally be removable. If the valve is concealed and the filters cannot be accessed without messing up the tiles, keep some spare tiles!
