Hi, we currently have approx 50mm of loft insulation of the usual fibreglasss material in the loft but would like to increase this and then board out the loft for storage. Obviously increasing to the 270mm means you can't board straight onto the joists so my question is can we lay thermawrap (only 4mm in thickness but provides same insulation as 150mm fibreglass) on top of the existing insulation which should still leave a gap under the top of the joists and then board out? We don't want to spend loads of money or effort on this as we plan to convert the loft in years to come...
