Hi

We have a problem with our indesit dif 04 dishwasher. We put it on to run before we went out. When we came home we discovered there had been a powercut. On opening the dishwasher we found that everything was still dirty (although cold and wet). Since then whatever program we run the same thing happens. The appliance starts makes appropriate noises than ten minutes later the end of program beeps and light come on. The inside is wet but cold. we have cleaned all the filters and had the power and water off but no joy. No warning lights are flashing. Could the power cut have caused damage? It seems a big coincidence!

Any suggestions most gratefully received.

Thanks
Simon

Have you tried pressing and holding in the on/off button until it makes a long beep to reset it then tried the program again ?

Thanks for the suggestion Caveman. I have tried holding the button down for a long time (several minutes) but I am not getting a long beep.

You wont get a long bleep by pressing the on off button. You only get that by pressing the p button. Does the lights move across when p is depressed. Was the power cut caused by the dishwasher, did all the power go out lights upstairs downstairs sockets etc.

Hi Rocks

There was a general power cut that affected about 100,000 homes in our area so everything went down for about ten minutes.

The lights look to be normal (not flashing until after the end of cycle beeps) and it allows us to start a program as normal but then cuts out after about ten minutes.

Thanks

Oh dear , something has blown inside big time. Poss pcb that's gonna cost £100.00. Get onto leccy company and put a claim in for a free repair. , there is a company called haste they take repairs for power surges , all tv vids blue ray fridges freezers etc they send manufactures out to repair or replace , why should you pay for there transformers going done.
