Indesit waqshing machine problem

Hi, I have an indesit WIA101 washing machine. When I put it onto a normal cycle it appears to spin OK and drain OK but the washing is not as "well spun" as it usually is. When I then put it onto a separate spin cyce it appears to spin faster and the clothes are dryer. I have checked the filter. Any suggestions much appreciated.
Also, it makes quick a loud banging noise just before spinning during the normal cycle but when I put it on the spin only cycle it doesn't bang and sounds fine.

what do you call a normal cycle some spin at 1200 some spin 600/800.

I usually use a cycle which includes what they refer to in the instructions as a "delicate spin" - the maching spins up to a max of 1000rpm. But before - when I use ther same cycle - the clothes came out much less wet than they do now. But it does seem to spin OK

delicate spin is a slow spin, long spin is faster extracts more water ..
