I have an Indesit WM12X that has after reading on here quite a common problem of the dial clicking round.unfortunetly it wont reset like many people have done does this mean that the pressure switch has gone and if it does is a WM12XUK the same model as the WM12X. for part ordering reasons. regards kenny

While the dial is rotating the light should be flashing an error code. Count the flashes between pauses and let us know.

It's most likely a problem with the electronics. Main pcb and eprom. Not a cheap repair if that's the case. 
I had a "washing machine engineer" come out to look at it and he said it was the p.c.b. so was uneconomical to repair but he basically done nothing to make sure it was definetly the problem.
This morning my dad come down to have a look himself before i went to buy another washer he took the brushes out of the motor give them a rub over with some emery paper and hey presto its working.
