Indian / UK trade deal

TBF the house on the right which is Mrs Coughans looks awful but Tariq Ahmeds house looks quite nice

I agree, you can't get upset that you built an extension with a window facing your neighbour, half a meter from the boundary only to find he's also built up on his own (mostly) land.

It looks like someone planted a trailer tent on her house.

I'm sure that will be a great comfort to all the UK workers here who will be massively undercut.

So Indians don't pay NI here while Brits pay the new higher rate? Politicians = traitors.
It is a beneficial trade deal, there are always compromises.

Overall UK didn't make many concessions so it's not bad overall.

I don't like the idea of 1600 Indian workers not having to.pay any tax in UK, but its worth that for the benefits

Where does it say this deal is limited to 1600 Indians not paying NI? Is this going to be like Bliar years ago claiming only a handful off EEs will come here when they gave them freedom of movement without the restrictions that other EU countries had in place? In reality, millions came.

and millions went.

There have been 7.9 million EUSS applications made since the scheme was launched. These applications relate to 6.3 million people (some people will have multiple applications). Of these, 5.7 million people had obtained a grant of status through the scheme (3.8 million settled status and 1.9 million pre-settled status).

Hope this helps.
Your several years out of date.

The EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) was a UK government program that allowed EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens, and their family members, to apply for UK immigration status to continue living, working, and studying in the UK after the UK left the EU
Hope this helps.
