Whoever invented the WC Flapvalves wants stuffing , Sons house downstais loo 5years old , water dribbling into Pan , removed valve and fitted new seal and cleaned seating , no change . To change Flapvalve completely cistern to pan fixings concealed within pan moulding , so whole assy needs to be moved out from wall to disconnect cistern , so frustrating . God save the Syphon !

I fixed my toilet today, I was lucky and got away with just flipping the seal over...
 
i put a couple off brass 3/4 inch nuts off an elbow on the chain to close the flap quickly and firmly to avoid leaks and give a quick "P" flush rather than half to 3/4 off the cistern

Correction , not a Flapvalve , a Flushvalve dual flush , so you were lucky (sxturbo) .
