When having a new ring main installed in a new extension which will be a utility area, should I get a minor works certificate or a full inspection and test certificate?

Secondly should the lights be energy efficient.

Thirdly, the socket hights in kitchen utility are going to be put at correct hight, but in with the job they are going to turn the old kitchen into a dining room, and the old socket positions won't be apropriate, can they put them down just above skirting or do they have to go at least 450mm?

I am just geting quotes for the work and the guys that have been round so far all say something different.

Would think it will be the Electical installation certificate for the new circuit.

might as well be.

its 450mm for new builds only, its more convenient and helps the disabled you see. no obligaton to put sockets at this height in an old build though.
