installing a 1 and 1/2 sink

hi there all!

I have a question to ask the experts please.

Does it matter on which sink the trap goes? I.e on the 1 and a half sink, | have had to put the trap on the half sink rather than the full one. Other than this oddity, everything else is the same.

Will this cause a problem with draining? There is a washing machine drain pipe also connected into the system.
