I'm in the process of buying an old house which has a curved ceiling in the bathroom. Where the bath is currently positioned there's not enough height for a shower. I've been looking on the web for ideas and the 3 main ones seem to be 1. Move the bath. 2. Have the shower at shoulder height. 3. Remove the floorboards and rest the bath on the joists thus giving you an extra 3 or 4 inches.

Does anyone else have any ideas? They'd be much appreciated.

A shoulder height shower head... would you really want that?

I wouldn't remove floorboards and rest the bath on your joists if i were you.

New bath, new position would be the best option IMO.
