i'm installing a power point to plug in an electric extraction hood and also for the ignition for a gas hob,
should i run a spur from an existing socket to a fused spur then to a double socket to plug in the appliances?

what size fuse should be used in order to protect both appliances?

Electric Cookers and Hobs typically take more power than can be supplied from a standard double socket, so you may well need to have a separate dedicated circuit(s) just for these i.e. not a spur. Take a look at the appliances and check the wattage ratings.

There have been several similar questions asked in the last few days so suggest you take a look at other posts in the forum.

If you're asking, should you be doing it as this would be under Part P?
However, you won't require much current for an extractor and gas hob ignition - probably less than 3A each so fused spurs fom the ring should be Ok.
