A mate of mine is planning to install the above appliance. Currently he has a back boiler in an open fire running 6 radiators & hot water (with no controls) providing he lets the fire have a bag of coal a day!

He is of the opinion he will just have to remove the back boiler, jiggle the pipes around to fit the tappings on the Highlander, fill with water & light.

I suggested it might be a little more complicated and he might require controls such as a three way valve.

I have looked on the Dunsley web site for installation instructions which I am supposed to be able to download but am unable to do so. However I did notice the Highlander 10 does have 4 boiler tappings.

Could anyone point us in the right direction.

Thanks

Mike

May have found the answer.

As the Dunsley site is not working for me I looked on the Charnwood site.

I was able to download their installation instructions.

Either use 3 of the tappings and an injector tee

OR use all 4 tappings, 2 diagonal for the primaries by gravity and the other 2 for the CH pumped.

I guess the CH pump will need various controls. In particular to be controlled by a thermostat on the hot water cylinder?

Thanks

Mike
