hi quick question , bathroom with two external walls, will fitting insulated plasterboard make it warmer ? And will it need skimming if it's going to be re tiled ?

even an inch of foam will improve the insulation. As it is on the inside, the room will also heat up quicker, and this will reduce condensation (also making the walls stay cleaner). Foam has about twice the insulating power as the same thickness of mineral wool.
I don't know about the tiling. I think I've seen a special insulated board for tiling onto, I can't remember. Probably on the Knauf or Hardiebacker site.
