Insulating a concrete garage

Hi all,

So after lots of planning I just can’t justify the expense of a brick garage.

So, I’m going to be getting a sectional garage.

I’ll partly be using it as my office, partly to store my bike, partly to use for other hobbies. So it’ll be getting a lot of use.

With that in mind, I’m keen to insulate and line it, keep it dry and keep it warm.

Is the below correct?

Against the wall, apply a breather membrane.
I’ll be using lining clips, so will be putting a timber frame inside, then using celotex between the frame.
I won’t use a vapour barrier as the celotex should act as this, cover all joints with silver tape
Then cover that with ply. Leaving 20mm at the floor for air gap.

With the floor.
It’ll be a new slab, so can I do anything different here?
My thoughts - lay out a dpm
Make a frame on that
Insulate between the frame tape as before
Likely add a moisture resistant t&g board (like loft boards)
No breather, no vapour barrier

Ceiling
As walls

Is that correct?

If you don't want to put a car in there and cost is an issue why not just make an office? No slab needed, you can use rods, you can otherwise follow most of their instructional videos (whether you buy from them or not):
