our flat has a flat roof extension and is getting considerable condensation on the ceiling. we have looked into exterior flat roof insulation (huge cost) but was wondering if insulating from inside between the ceiling and roof can be done diy? any advice would be great...

Condensation occurs because the warm, moist air is meeting a cold surface. You need to stop the warm air getting to the cold surface, this can be done one of two ways.
1. Install a vapour barrier to stop the warm air penetrating the ceiling and getting to the cold roof or
2. Venting the roof space so there isn't a build up of warm air by ensuring there is a vent path where cold air can enter and warm air can exit.

Best case scenario do both
