Hi all
I currently live in a 1920s terraced house. It is of stone construction built on marsh land and has no dpc level.
We had rising damp and have knocked off all lime plaster at ground level, we have yet to treat the walls with a dpc treatment.while in doining this we thought we might insulate the walls on the ground floor as its a cold house in the winter
My questions are
Should we use an injection treatment for the dpc or tank the lower half of the walls and do we have to use all natural materials to let the walls breath?
I.e lime mortar for joints, sheeps wool insulation, breathable fibre boards and a lime plaster coat. Or can I just put up normal plaster boarding and treat the walls for the damp issue?
Thank you
