insulating ontop of a concrete floor house 1901 solid wall

hi all this is my 1st of many post, i have my 1st home 3 bedroom house 1901 solid brick wall which i have guted. i have done the upstairs now to gut out down stairs,

there is a chip board floor sat ontop of timber around 3x2's which has strips of DP. befor i start to pull the plaster off the walls to reboard with insulated plaster board i was thinking about insulating the floor with polystyrene around 50mm???? boards

can i just put the polystyrene blocks inbetween the 3x2's as there are air bricks ? do i need 2 keep the air bricks? any info would be grate

size of the house area to cover is about 7mx8m
