Another question ?.
Have a bedroom that is part over a garage, and part within pitched roof.
Basically in the winter, its cold.
Now the warmer months are here, I'm redecorating and replacing the old rad as they are all old and pretty much filled up with gunk. We only moved in September last year.
I've done a BTU calc, 4.56m x 3.07m x 2.3m high, 2.2m2 of window area. The loft is a good 250mm of insulation, which covers most of bedroom, but about 1/4 to third of floor area is over garage and there is cupboard space within the pitched roof over garage where there will be no insulation. I'm getting a BTU of about 5300 so will get a rad to suit.
But what are the recommendations for insulation.
Could I pull up floorboards and lay insulation between joists, and would this be best just over the garage area, or whole bedroom floor.
Thank you
