I have built a kitchen ext and at the same time continued the glass roof of the conservatory over the top (walls are brick cavity).

The wall between the conservatory is single skin brick which I now need to insulate on the kitchen side.

I will batten off and fix kingspan but have two questions.

as its an internal wall (conservatory unheated - cold) do I need a vapour barrier between the kingspan and plasterboard (taped kingspan enough)?

Can I do away with the battens altogether and up the kingspan by 25mm?

Many thanks

The best way to do it is fix 50 x 50mm battens to the wall.
Then saw the kingspan to fit between the battens.
Then affix a final sheet of insulated backed plasterboard.

Just use Kingspan Kooltherm k17 board fixed direct to wall. No need for battens.
