Internal insulation of a cavity wall

Hi guys

I'm a relative newbie and am after some advice on the correct process for insulating the garage conversion I am doing.

The walls are all insulated cavity walls with a 2' gap and brick faced. I have been told by the council that I need at least 50mm insulation.

Is this the correct process for adding internal insulation?
Attach vapour sheet to wall.
Batten wall
Put insulation between battens
Plasterboard over the top
Tap up plasterboard edges.

Or

Batten walls
Attach Kingspan/cellotex over battens
Tape
Skim

Are there any better options?

As you have a cavity, no need for a vapour control membrane next to wall. So from wall, battens with 50mm Celotex between them, I would then use VCL, its not strictly necessary, but its cheap and its belt and braces. then plasterboard then skim.
If you have the VCL next to the wall, your hot and moist breath will percolate any imperfections in the foam , cool down and form condensation, which you really want to evaporate outwards not remain trapped within the wall.
Putting in on the inside keeps the moist air within the room.
