Insulation boards for underfloor heating

Hi all,

I have a block and beam floor and about to lay my insulation (100mm) before the screed is pumped in.

Probably a silly question but want to be sure.

I have some spare 50mm boards. Will it be ok for me to lay 2 x 50mm boards instead of 1 x 100mm? does it make any difference?

Shouldn't be a problem (as long as one doesn't float away)

Was planning to tape the boards together anyway.

You might want another layer of plaster over the top of your insulation, just some thin polly will do.
