We have built a timber frame lean to (Boot room) on the side of our bungalow which at one point also adjoins the shed (soon to be office) and wanting to know the best way of insulting the original wall in the new boot room which is currently rendered.
We have done a flat roof tying into the original roof and an EDPM finish to the roof. The original wall is part 1940s and part new build extension of about 3 years ago with Celotex in the cavity, the latter (New bit) gets condensation on it currently.

1)We are looking at battening out the original wall Mainly to create a cupboard for the gas metre box which will be vented as well. The battens will have DPM behind each batten and a gap of 25mm then using a refelective vapour control barrier with insulation such as H Control Hybrid then do we put the plaster board straight onto the vapour barrier or batten again to provide another 25mm gap ?
2)On the timber frame wall (Which has 89mm studs with 18m OSB, 25m Batten and the PVC cladding, we are looking at 50 or 75 mm insulation (Possibly Actis Hybris) then the reflective H Control hybris then battens and plasterboard to create two air gaps. Again do we push the insulation ck to wards the OSb or leave a gap at the back?
3) ceiling will be 100mm Celotex with 25mm gap above then 18mm OSb and EDPM roof. Also two roof lights going in.

Am I on the right track as Im having sleepless nights about the different variations on insulation....
