Kingspan, being rigid could also serve to transmit sound through the structure. This can easily be shown by taking a slab of rockwool and a slab of kingspan and giving each of them a slap.

They have a variety of different methods to reduce sound, at least one featuring a stud wall arrangement.

Certainly would be nice to have comparative results of both methods to see which one is best at stopping the sound.
May be spending money unnecessarily on the HD stuff in some installation cases.
For info - the HD stuff can be flush with the plasterboard depending on stud width, probably giving a similar solid feel.
Some pictures added to album featuring wall using HD boards from wickes, just called it "stud wall" at present.
