Very early days but considering having the L shaped flat roof over my garage/entrance hall replaced with a pitched one with roof tiles. The house is two storey, built in 1980. The garage is standard single size.
The outside wall of the garage is single brick with a buttress half way along. Would it need strengthening?
I'm also in the process of finding out whether I would need planning permission. I wouldn't be going outside the present footprint, just upwards.
Any idea at the cost ration, flat/pitched? Twice as much? 3 times?
Would appreciate any feedback from anyone who has had a similar job done.
