Morning all. I need to replace door hinges on my integrated Neff fridge, as one of them has broken. I have sourced the correct replacement hinges and now want to fit them. Will I need to remove the fridge from its housing to do this or can I do this with the fridge in situ. The fridge is not at floor level so would be heavy to remove in my own and I have no-one to assist me with it.

Hi,

Can the fridge be pushed backwards within the cabinet - it certainly wouldn't have been possible to push the fridge into that gap with the whole hinge in place! :)

To save some effort, you may not need to replace the mounting plates of the hinges - just slotting the arms into position and attaching?

Edit: although looking closer, there don't appear to be traditional mounting plates - can you post a link to the hinges you've found?

Thanks RandomGrinch for your reply. I attach a photo of the two hinges waiting to be fitted, one open, the other closed, front side and rear side. Hope helpful.
Keith

Thanks for the pic.
I may be wrong, but to me, it looks as if you only need to undo the front screw, and the rest of the hinge should detach; sliding out from a hidden backplate.
It may still be awkward to remove, so having another pair of hands on standby wouldn't be a bad thing!
But, you (hopefully!) shouldn't need to remove the fridge - good luck :)

That's correct, the single screw will allow the main part of the hinge to slide out. Just had a look at my fridge freezer which has the same set up except the fridge is about 5mm further back so the hinge backplate screws are just about accessible. I suspect as you mentioned in your earlier post the fridge could be pushed back a smidge.

Thank you Fillyboy for your reply. Tgat sounds more encouraging so I will have a go at it today. Cheers, Keith
