Here goes #3
Soon, I will be having some work done that will involve mucking about with some the ceilings in my house - all of the lath and plaster variety (in various states of repair - but still whole at least).
A local builder suggested that it's fine to leave the lath and plaster as-is and overboard with ceiling plasterboard screwed into the joists.
Taking the lath and plaster ceilings down would be a MASSIVE ballache as would replacing like-for-like - so overboarding is quite appealing.
Any thoughts/recommendations on this practice?
Thanks,
Will.
