Hi

I've used cheap toolstation acrylic sealant which turned yellow after a couple of days and also unibond sanitary sealant which had a nice silicone brilliant white finish but it was so hard to work with and is now peeling after a month or so.

Any suggestions? I'm just fitting new pvc trims to the windows and applying with a caulk tool.

Maybe I should mask the areas to stop the sealant getting everywhere also.

Thanks

Masking taping is always a good idea.

For an over paint-able caulk I recommend Wurth acrylic sealant (you can buy it by the tube on ebay) It shrinks less than any other caulk I have tried and can be used indoors and out.

For silicone just make sure it low modulas, Neutral cure. Make sure surfaces are clean and your good to go.
