Intermittant Drip from Overflow?

Hi, we have an intermittant drip from our overflow pipe from the water tank.

Possible once a week or so I return home to see the overflow dripping.

Is this an easy fix/common thing?

Can you be a bit more specific please, which water tank? Do you mean the cold water storage cistern or F&E tank in the loft, or your hot water cylinder, or something else?

Hi, its a water tank in the loft (bungalow if this helps), the big black plastic tank and this is where the overflow pipe comes from to the outside.
Sorry I cant provide more details, if this doesnt help I'll have to find out more details. Thanks

Probably just needs a new ball valve
