Internal bi-folding doors

Hi all,

I'm having a new kitchen installed and the original idea was to replace my existing door leading from the hall to the kitchen with a bi-folding door.

My fitter has just told me that the openings are completely different and it would cause alot of damage to my new plastered walls to have the bi-doors installed.

Is this true?

No it is not true.

However there are different types of bifold doors, and some may require a certain opening
