My daughter and the love of her life have just moved into a house built in the '70's. The house has no internal doors downstaris, so I said I'd help fit them where required.
The size seems to be a problem, the doors required are mostly 80x220cms, in B&Q and Homebase terms, this is not available. Was this a standard size and is it still available anywhere 'off the shelf'? If not, has anyone any ideas, preferably not involving new door frames!!

Yep sounds metric standard door widths are 686,762,838,915 which are the metric conversion of the old imperial sizes. Try a builders merchants instead of B&Q or get them cut down to size from an 838 should be able to plane 19mm off both edges without too much effect on the door.
