Internal Doorway knock through

Hi all,

A shop owner has asked me to put a 2ft 6" door in a non load bearing block wall, i have looked through the internet, and believe that i dont need building control as its not structual, is this correct? but being a shop and not a home does this make a difference?

If it is non structural it will not need Building Regs approval in this respect however depending on the layout, it may need to be a fire door or other anomaly which would need to comply. Too little information.
