I'm redoing the main bedroom in an old solid-brick semi and the bed is going along an external wall with chimney breast. The alcoves aren't really deep enough to do much with. As it's being skimmed anyway, should I fit some thin internal insulation into the alcoves?
I'm thinking one of these:

Will insulating the chimney external wall push too much condensation on to the remaining external wall with the windows in it? There will normally be two people sleeping in the room. No signs there is much of a damp or mould problem so far.
Roughly three options (pics below) - which do you think is best?
Option Zero - do nothing.
Option One - just insulate the backs of the alcoves on chimney wall.
Option Two insulate the backs and sides of the alcoves on chimney wall.
The other external wall with the windows in is way too fiddly to fit internal insulation unfortunately so can't do whole room.
If insulating one wall is a good idea:
- I was going to leave existing plaster on as it is sound (thick old plaster, probably lime and horsehair) and would be another 15 rubble sacks to shift, unless there is a need to take it off? Just dot and dab the insulated board on to the existing plaster?
- Do I need a board with a vapour barrier, or do those Selco Siniat boards (links above) have one in already?
- Any idea which of those three Selco Siniat boards is any good?
