Hi there, can anyone tell me where to get the 'spade' type connector that connects the internal wiring of a fitted oven to the thermostat control.

The connector has burnt away and an electrician tells me that he can fix but in unsure whether these connectors are a common part of specific to the oven.

Its a Rangemaster built in oven, but Rangemaster spares were not much help.

Thanks

Lisa

Thanks, do you know the product name? Is there any rating based on likely heat levels etc?

Yes I see the ones that I think I need, but just wondering how I would know the thickness of the wire? Simple as measuring it?

Thanks

If the wire is to a heating element then my guess would be it is 2.5mm, but that is only a guess. The 2.5mm refers to the c.s.a. of the wire conductor not the diameter so if you can measure the diameter accurately then you can work it out. Your electrician should know these things.
