INTERNET STOPPED WORKING

Has anyone any idea why this happens?

I and my partner use the same laptop at home, Inspiron 1501. I have no problem with the internet connection on Yahoo Mail, but when my partner uses it , he gets the error message above and has to reboot again.

Also I believe that it is possible to have hardware and software cover together. Can anyone recommend a company?
