I have inadvertently bought sink strainers for my kitchen sink, and now noticed they have a 32 mm waste thread on the bottom. Is 32mm waste pipework ok for a kitchen sink. Ta.

They gunge up quickly and take a flow more akin to a bath than a basin so I would say go for 40mm waste

Must be honest - never seen proper standard sink wastes @ 32mm, unless it's on ebay/amazon/etc.

40mm all day long, especially if there's appliances on it.

Oddly, iirc, I’ve seen static caravans using them
